   4. CREATING SUN USING LENS EFFECTS

  Select omni01 and go to modify panel and set multiplier to 1.5 , then go to atmospheres and effects rollout and click the [ add ] button.

  from opened window select lens effects and click ok. In the previouss (Also shown bellow) window lens effects will appear, select it in list and click setup.

    

  From lens effects global rollout click on load button then select sun.lzv and click open. Sun.Izv is Max default for sun efect.

   5. MATERIALS FOR OUR SCENE

  Press M to open material editor. In the material editor window select an empty slot and scroll down to Maps Rollout. From [ Difuse Colour ] click the [ None ] button and from the new window select [ Mix].


  
Click on Color # 1 button then select bitmap and choose GRYDIRT1.jpg. This file should have the folowing path: 3D S Max Instalation Folder \ Maps \ Grounds \. If you don't have this file there, you can also download it from << here >>. Set U and V tilling to 15.

Next click on Go To Parent Button and click on color #2 button.


[Go to parent Button]

From the opened window select bitmat then choose SAND3.JPG. This file should have the folowing path: 3D S Max Instalation Folder \ Maps \ Grounds \. If you don't have this file there, you can also download it from << here >>. Now you can assign your material to the Plane01 (or Desert Surface)

   6. CREATING THE BACKGROUND

  Press [ 8 ] to open the Environment Setings Window. Click on environmet map button and select gradiant from the opened window.

  Next Press [ M ] to open Material Editor and drag the Gradient map over one empty slot. From the pop - up menu select Instance and click OK. In gradient parameters rollout set colors to:

color #1 = R : 182 G : 113 B : 52

color #2 = R : 193 G : 143 B : 102

color #3 = R : 247 G : 199 B : 161

Now render the scene from the Camera view. ??? Huh ? What do you think ? Was that easy or what ?
